A big build up by SA Inc, and an introduction today. http://springfield-armory.com/ A week before the most important Election for POTUS and they role out an AR-15 clone. Not yet listed at www.galleryofguns.com (http://www.galleryofguns.com). Quite frankly, i'm bored by it. Anybody here going to rush out and get one?

Eh, they put a few of their own touch's on it, but it is basically a modern garden variety AR-15. Just what we need, another 16" barreled AR-15...

i buid my own, as nothing on the market ever is exactly what i want. however, if your in the gun making business you'd be a fool not to have a few AR's in your line.

Love the AR15. If/when the SHTF, it will be nice to have. Ammo is cheap to load and light to carry. I have three currently and looking to add another two. I was going to get one in .300 Blk as a cast shooter but never could justify adding it.

They could/will become great investments when "assault" rifles are eventually restricted.

Maybe just me, but give me one with a 20" barrel and non adjustable butstock. The M-4 clones just don't do it for me.

I don't think I'm going to burn up the road to buy an over priced fancy AR-15

what the naysayers seem to forget though, is the more competition the better.

I will stick the with AR's that are built a few blocks to the west. Hard to beat the the other two manufacturers that are a few miles further west. SA outsourcing a lot of there components turns me off.

Frankly, I was hoping for more. Or at a minimum, something different.

It's not what they are selling (a gussied-up AR) what rather who they are trying to sell to. I was immediately struck by how the spokes-models blasting away in the videos looked, shall we say, "non-traditional." Good for SA, I hope they sell 5 million "SAINT" units. The next time you see two women in a Subaru Outback, they just might have a cased "SAINT" in the back with the dogs.

If you think RR and Armalite don't outsource then you are crazy. ALL of the AR manufacturers outsource. They are all just assemblers! Been to RR and Armalite and LMT And a few others that are no longer being made anymore here and none of them manufacture all of their parts.

I'm guessing their hoping to get on board with the next 8 years of record gun sales like the last 8! Any thing black and semi auto sold like hot cakes.

Masterpiece Arms out of Cumming GA manufactures everything in house except sprigs and mags. So there are a few companies that manufacture MOST of their parts. I think POF manufactures MOST of their stuff in house too.

My only future interest is in a 308. I don't need one, it is just interesting.

Nothing really special I guess. Another mid priced AR really. It does come with the S-A stamp on it.

I had never heard of these guys before. They do seem to have some moderately unique items.

Theyre more known for their bolt
action rifles locally. I picked up one in 6.5 Creedmoor and it is an awesome
rig. Many shooters are getting 1/10-1/5 MOA with their Creedmoors in 6/6.5. It's guaranteed 3/8 MOA. I'm still waiting on some supplies to get mine broken in and dialed in with a good load but so far very promising.

This introduction could not have been more anti-climactic. Another AR, ho hum. They lead up to this like it would be ground breaking, it's not. I guessed it would be a black rifle, but I expected something like a pistol caliber carbine that used XD mags. This, borrrrring.

It really does seem to be just another AR15 in an overly crowded market. Yea competition is good, but to stand out, you need to do something different. And most everybody is simply doing the same thing everybody else is doing. I have seen so many new brands of AR in the shops. Tho not like you can look at the rack and know they are different brands without picking one up to look at the side. Be like if Ford, Chevy, etc all made the exact same car, the only difference is the dealership you buy from, the roads would be pretty boring.

There are definitely a lot of AR assemblers (manufacturers) in the business.Very few of them make all of the parts;not counting pins, springs, screws and plastic parts.Barrels and extensions, bolts, and carriers are commonly outsourced.

It looks ok to me - just read a review and it did well. Street price will probably be $600 or so. It has sights so there's that.
