Okay gentlemen,

I have some purty boolits of pure WW using the Lee 452-200-RN. Some I pan-lubed and some are plain. I didn't size these bullets.

I have some W231, and Power Pistol.

I am looking for accurate, non-leading(low-maintenance), plinking load.

I have mixed brass and WLP primers.

What OAL and gr of powder should I try? I plan on extra flare(remember Office Space?) and taper crimp with Lee FCD die.

Much Thanks!

You didn't say what cartridge or gun. If .45 ACP in a 1911, start with about 5 grains of 231 and work up until you get good accuracy and functioning.

45 ACP.

Springfield Armory M1911-A1 Loaded stainless w/ 5in barrel.

4.6gr, 5gr, 5.3gr are easy to measure in my Lee Auto Disk and easy to shoot with 230gr FMJ. I have the adjustable charge bar, so even more flexible.

I practic loaded about 50, but plan to remove the bullets and re-do.

Power Pistol is temp sensitive but as you are in TX I don't think you will need to be conserned with that but it's not a plinking powder so to speak , from medium to full power it is a good powder tho .
