Hoping to visit the Nashville, TN area in 10 days or so...can anyone recommend any good gunshops in the vicinity that stock powder & primers at reasonable prices. I'd sure like to stop and say Hi to Hickock 45, but he's made it clear not to unless invited.

If driving in I would suggest Midsouth in Clarksville, great prices and just off I-24 (exit 11). They are open M-F until 5:30pm for pickup.

Not sure how close they are to Nashville but theres Champions Choice in Laverge tenesse also. I ussually see them at commercial row at Camp Perry or mail order with them. They supply reloading gear shooting accesories and firearms.

They are 54 miles NW of Nashville--I am not sure if they are just mail order only---and available just for pickups...

Not much in Nashville proper, Bass pro carries some stuff. Place I go is reloaders bench in Mt Juliet, still considered metropolitan Nashville, its just E of town off 40.

Make sure you visit Andrew Jackson's home, The Hermitage.

Yes, mainly mail order but have a counter and will show you just about anything you want to check out before purchase. I didn't catch the NE part of your location as I go through IL when in route to CO, thought maybe you might take I-24 in but you are probably coming on I-65. In that case, maybe the reloader's bench (https://www.google.com/maps/place/Reloader's+Bench/@36.1742479,-86.5148597,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x886415cc267e4b03:0x8e839 2fac5535b48!8m2!3d36.1742436!4d-86.512671?hl=en) would be a good stop, they have a decent selection there. Its about 20 miles east of Nashville so about 20 minutes or so in decent traffic. The other place I have visited is Nashville Armory, but they didn't have a good selection at the time, but in their defense no one else had any either.

There are a few others listed around Nashville though so maybe a few phone calls can let you know if they have what you are looking for.

Thanks Guys! I have 3 grandsons, 2 daughters, and their husbands to visit later this fall. From Nebraska, I can stop at Midway USA, Grafs, Mid-South, and now a couple more within a short distance! Like winning the lottery!!! I think they have a big 'Gun Show' in early December, like to get there, but it would interfere with NE's December muzzleloading deer season, can't have that! Flyer

+1 on that. We did that about 20 years ago when we were in town for my son's graduation from Nashville Diesel school. My Mom attended the same school in the 1940's but then it was a secretarial school.

Royal Range is nice. It's right beside I40...literally.

It'll be high on the list of nicest gunshop/indoor ranges you will ever see. It's built in a newly renovated Regal Cinema theater. They have a large inventory and TONS of .22 for sale. The indoor range has archery, pistol and a 57 yard rifle range that is .50 BMG rated. Not sure what fool wants to shoot a .50 indoors but you can do it there.

It's actually a very classy place.

Thank you---will probably take I-65 so Clarksville will be a bit too far out of the way. Reloaders Bench looks like the place to go...

Reloaders bench has alot of stuff for a small place. All that crazy brass that can be hard to find. Plenty of powder and primers.

Every city has it's own dynamic. Nashville is no exception.

If you see: Jefferson St, Lafayette or Dickerson Road.....turn around and go the other way. It ain't a place for normal self respecting people. The only way I would walk down Jefferson street at night is if I had a battalion of Marines around me. Even then, I wouldn't be happy about it.

In a word....Projects. Very bad place to be.

I went on their website---seems they don't carry Alliant powder...can that be right?

I'll steer clear of that area...not as safe as Chicago...

No, if they can get it, they'll carry it. I've never known them to be brand loyal. They try to carry as wide a variety as possible.

Depending on what day you're in town, you might also try A&H reloading. He keeps funny hours so call ahead, but Butch keeps a LOT of stuff in stock and he's right in the middle of Nashville.
