I drilled and tapped an 870 for Wilson sights today. Setup was tough but it worked out. drilling on the curve is touchy so I locked the lathe cross feed and such. Used a center drill to start and holes came out perfect. Ghost ring rear and tritium front. Looks good.
I used inner tube strips in the vise to protect the finish. It held tight.
