I have a barrel band front sight mount I would like to find a sight blade for. Anybody know who made this sight or where a blade could be found? The dovetail is longitudinal, not crosswise.

Thanks!

Cape outfitters sold some like that if I remember right. Also Brownells had beads and blades that fit it at one time.

My CZ 527 has exactly the same front sight configuration, the sight slides in and the little button holds it in place. You'd have to check dimensions but you might want to try the CZ-USA web site.

.

New England Custom Gun makes/sells several different longitudinal front sight inserts for some of the different slot patterns used by them (on their ramps), Ruger's, CZ's, and a "universal" ramp.

I would suggest that you first accurately measure the relevant length & width of the female sight blade recess, and whether the latching button (or screw) is on the front or rear of the sight blade, then speak to NECG customer service about your specific needs.

I would further advise you to first think (or calculate) what height the insert front sight will be need to be in order to zero the rifle.

Brownell's has a sight height calculator on their website: http://www.brownells.com/GunTech/Sight_Height_Calculator/detail.htm?lid=13186

Likewise, it looks like the arrangement on my BRNO.
