Years ago an outfit called MHG advertised in Shotgun news regularly, selling 60 grain .22 bullets (boolits?) made with .22 rimfire jackests. I shot thousands of these in reduced course High Power matches and they were as accurate at 100/200 as 69 Sierras and MUCH cheaper. I've lurked on this board for years, couldn't join on accounta I was on employer's PC(at lunch, of course !).
Now retired, got own PC, almost both feet into 21st century. I am casting some .45 ACP with lead "mined" from local range backstop. VERY interested in swaging .22 bullets eventually, wish someone would sell an economical die set for this. Looks like maybe $600 for Corbin dies w/o a press ?

Is anyone selling bullets like this to support their own bad habits ? or is MHG still around ?

Thank all you long timers for all the valuable info posted here - a lot of it is over my head but I enjoy the hell out of it anyway !

Later, George Venable

Howdy George:
MHG, Tom closed shop sometime ago.

Here's the info from a 5000 bullet box I have left over.

MHG

Hard telling how old this box is. I got from a shooting buddy that died last yr. He hadn't loaded in over 5 yrs.

Give it a try, you might learn what become of the guy.

Good luck, another George
