There's a reason why dog is "god" spelled backwards! They can teach us SO much, if we just pay attention! And no other entity on earth has ever related to man like a good dog. And the smart ones can be truly amazing, if not outright humbling. JRT's have a joy of life about them that cannot be ignored, and many other breeds can have it too. My young half Llewellyn/Mountain terrier mix is one powerful force of nature, but as independent as she can be. I can't even get her to come when she's called, but I'm working on it. The spirit she has toward life and all she does, and all that's around her, is just amazing. I'm always humbled by great dogs.

Great stuf, guys. Thanks! No animal on earth enjoys their lives like a dog does. Cats are mostly bored with everything. Birds are cheerful and busy looking for their feed, etc., etc. Dogs? They're busy playing, enjoying whatever is in front of them, and usually, just playing with whatever it is. Maybe that's why abused and neglected dogs seem so pitiful. The contrast between that and one in its natural state is so extremely dramatic. Nothing can brighten a guy's day like a good dog. Or humble him.

Good dog, very useful! I'm curious how a trained dog recognise his owner? :) (http://bakingreview.com/search/kitchenAid)

Great dog. JRTs are the only little dog I like. I saw one do a complete Schutzhund 1 routine, including going over the 1 meter jump, 7 foot wall & the complete protection routine. Pretty funny seeing this little dog 4' off the ground while biting the sleeve.

You're really close on this. The reason Dog is God spelled backwards is because Dog is God's absolute finest work.
He made everything in 6 days. Took a nap on the 7th. The eighth day came and he got up, made him a sandwich and was looking things over. He says,
Hey Gabriel, Micheal look at this. The sun, moon & stars, nice huh?
Yes boss.
The earth, seas & man?
That's incredible boss.

...Then god looked down and seen woman and said...
Aww hell, I know I can do better than this.

And God sat down at his work bench and hand built the first Dog.
