Are there any alternatives, other than Lee [who will make a sizing die for about $175]. Lee doesn't offer a sizing die for this caliber on there site other than a custom order. Are there any other companies that sell a push through sizer. I currently do not have a lube sizer. I have a Lee .379 single cavity plain base that I want to size and lube with Aalox and shoot out of my .375 H&H mag. I don't have a load worked up yet as I need a velocity at or under 1700 fps.

Lee will make you a custom sizer die for $38 plus shipping, from what I read here.

NOE makes a bushing system. A lot cheaper than a Lee die overall. And there are a lot more size options.

the noe system is pretty cool actually.
and I bet if you order 379 you get 379.

You do get the exact size you order. But I've never had a custom size die from Lee come in the wrong size. The off the shelf ones are a flip of the coin.

The NOE system can be used to nose size only so it's more versatile.

Thanks for the info. Lee considers this a custom order and charges s tooling fee. I'll look into all you suggestions, thanks

You can get a Lee .358 push thru die and lap it out to .377"; it takes a while but it's about the cheapest way to go...

I think ill go with the noe, but will it screw into my press? Leewilk do a .379 for $38 but it'll take up to 6 weeks. I like how the noe allows a bushing and push rod chage out for differant cals fir sbout $15

You buy a die body ($39) that screws into your press, then you buy the bushing you want ($9.75) and a pushrod ($7.50) for that "family" of sizes. The next time you need a sizer you just buy a different bushing and a pusher if the new diameter is out the .375 family. The initial expense is greater than the Lee, but if you plan on buying several different calibers the cost will catch up fairly soon.

If NOE has the die in stock I would buy it now. It goes out of stock quickly all the time. Once you own the die body the cost is marginal. The push rods are by caliber. So I have one that works from .355 to .361. I know there are more bushing sizes available but I don't need them.

Ended up going with NOE. There was about 29 sizer bodys in stock and plenty of the bushings and push rods as well. What is a nose body bushing compared to a main body bushing?

It's for sizing the nose of bullets so they fit the throat. Some designs won't chamber because the nose is a little to big. It fixes that issue.

Be warned, they tend to multiply. I just checked mine to make sure they hadn't rusted. Oh boy, four of them are now soaking in Evaporust. They looked like they had no oil on them :(

I think its BNE who could do that on a lathe for you much faster, he did my star luberisizer die.
