I just bought a Sheridan Blue Streak!

Circa 1980 with a beautiful walnut stock.
It looks hardly used and previous owner told me he just had the innards have been rebuilt.
I can't wait to try it out!

Not really. They are just a LOT of fun to shoot. You'll soon run out of squirrels and chipmunks.
You can pump it up to 8 times to get the power you want, and then when you store it after shooting, no matter if for a day or for a couple of years, always put ONE pump back in it to preserve the seals.

Practice, practice, and more practice!

The real key to a Sheridan is learning how much power for a given range.
So start with 20 feet and 2 pumps. When you can put 5 in one hole or cover with a dime start playing with different distances.

More pumps means a bit less drop at longer distances. And a bit more whomp when it hits.

As a general rule I seldom went over 4 pumps unless the target was large and the distance was long.

I have a highly figured walnut, polished blue Sheridan blue streak that was given to me 20 yrs ago by an old timer. Sits in my kitchen as my back door varmint dispatcher. Very accurate. I treasure his gift.

I'm not real sure about the later models when Benjamin and Crossman owned the Sheridan name but the earlier models should be stored uncocked with 2 or 3 pumps to prolong the life of the seals. If you want to get the absolute maximum performance out of your "streak" contact Tim at Mac1 airguns for his steroid treatment.

Yeah, store with one or two pumps, uncocked.

Beeman Kodiak pellets rule in these guns, along with JSB Exact and Crosman Premiers. Kodiaks will give about the highest energy on full pumps though.
