I just watched my wife read y'all's post with a big smile on her face. She wanted me to tell y'all how much it means to her.

things didn't go as planed she had complications in recovery. Her blood pressure shot up to 200 over I don't know .That hour they told me tuernd into seams like forever. We are now in a room and she is doing better.

They replaced her C 3 and 4 discs

she told the nurse her pain level was a 8 I've never seen her use such a high number like I've told y'all she is one tough bird

There's no feeling quite like the aftermath of dealing with something like you two have. God bless you both. Get some rest, and that goes for both of you. The patient gets all the concern, but the one giving the care gets awfully, awfully tired, especially with the emotional strain involved. You need the rest more than you probably know.

Make sure you have to keep her serum level up on the pain med's - nothing worse than starting to roller coaster the med's in her system by not taking them on schedule.

Linda's doing a lot better today! She still can't eat. But in less pain and in a lot better spirits.

I ran into town this morning to run some errands, we I got home she had a load of clothes on to wash I finally got her set back down and I went out to to run me a light in the barn when I came back in she was cooking supper and geting a blanket ready to dye with some kind of berry dye

it's starting to take its toll she's geting grouchy so I'm going to get off of here

The after surgery pain should go away pretty quickly, usually, but it'll probably take a few days to a week or so. When that's over, she should be nearly pain free, and it is SO good to be pain free!!! No matter what a person's constitution or pain tolerance, pain that just won't and doesn't go away can be absolutely debilitating and maddening. Thank God for a loving God who heals, and the docs whose hands He usually works through. Most surgeons I know are pretty humble folks, really, if you get to know them. It pretty much HAS to be humbling to be an instrument of God, and His healing hands. But God can work through even the more haughty types, too. Is our God a wonderful and loving God, or what?

As for as her and I it going good .

She he called me yesterday morning and told me she was heading to the doctor. ( a three hr drive) he was pleased with her recovery and cleared her ? ( I don't know what that means)

i will say she is geting better she has gotten to where she can eat solid foods

It's amazing what the docs can do today with joints and spines! Thank almighty God for it, too, or I wouldn't be here. Come to think of it, but for the "miracles of modern science," I wouldn't be here on a number of counts! Goes with the territory of growing up willful and daring, I guess? And "not too smart" to boot?
