I have a old original #1, I think, 45/70,that has all matching numbers on the receiver, has new badger half octagon, half round 30" barrel, great wood. Steel parts have been nicely blued, receiver has been re-casehardened, shoots great. The tip of the extractor has been chipped off, it was like this when I got the rifle. It is still shootable, but rim of shell can easily slip over ex. when loading and unloading. Anyone know where to get a new one, this is the rotary type, not the slide type. All help appreciated!!

There are several making new extractors for the rollers. I think Lee SHaver makes some now. If you know a good welder the chip and edge can be built up with heli arc and recut to what you need.

Have you tried "Swappin & Sellin" "Wanted to Buy?" I've had very good results finding things there.

A photo of the broken extractor would be helpful. Does it fit in a slot, is it round or oval, those questions can be answered with a photo.

If you can't find what you need at any of the above mentioned places, you might try Wisner's. They manufacture new parts for old and obsolete guns. Good people to deal with and pretty reasonable prices.
