I have used the BigLube bullets and black powder in .45 Colt in my revolvers with good success but want to move to a 230 gr and .45 Scofield brass to roughly duplicate the military ball load M 1875. I use the tallow-beeswax-pariffin homemade lube.
I wonder if the smaller lube grooves seen in molds throwing bullets of this weight will haul enough lube for a 7 1/2" barrel. I have a J.W.Cusey .45 255 gr mold with the two narrow lube grooves I might test with.
Any one tried it?
