Details: model 70 280 Remington. Bullet was a 150 grain nosler partition with imr 4831 powder. I shot him at 50 yards when he spooked out of his bed. First bull for me,killed plenty of cows in the past.

You folks in God's Country are so fortunate to live there. I have visited there a few times for work and it is my dream state for retiring. Well done on your hunt.

Congratulations, Nice Bull. Too bad you can't mount it but they do require lots of space. Thats one of the things that I always wanted to do, but now that I can afford it I'n not up to it physically.

I am having the horns put on a plaque. I really do like my 280. I wish Sako made the classic in it. After so many years of shooting Tikkas it's tough for me to get used to the three position safety on the featherweight. Other than that I really like the rifle!

Nice, congrats, looks like better than a half side of beef. Or, from what I hear maybe better than beef. We have a few in MI, but getting a tag is like winning the lotto. I have seen what they do to a 14' pine tree though, and I thought the MI bucks were starting to get a little bigger. Do those things rub on electric poles and 10" pines too?

I thought that this was the hunting with CAST forum. It is a nice story but really should be posted elsewhere.
