I bought a mold off eBay last year as an RCBS 44-250 but the mold is not marked with any kind of marks. That's ok though as it cast a beautiful boolits that shoots great in my 6" 629-2 Classic Hunter. I have been shooting this boolit with Unique loads from 8 to 10 grains. It seems 8.5 gr Unique is by far the most accurate all the way out to 50 yards using open sights. My alloy is as acww with touch of tin and sized at .431.

I haven't had a chance to chrony this load but do you think this would be an adequate load for whitetail deer hunting?
I also loaded several over some 2400 1100 to 1260 fps but never got the accuracy like I did with Unique which seems quite a bit slower. My guess would be it is around 1000 or so.
I will eventually chrony them just can't get to it right now so that's why I'm asking.

8.5 grs of Unique is plenty adequate for deer at reasonable ranges.
