grandson gets another

This was youth week-end to hunt--they have it here week before regular season. My 16 year old grandson got an 8 pointer yesterday. This was with .243 using 100grain bulk packed(cheap)jacketed bullet. 90 yard shot through the heart and it travelled maybe 30 yards. This was not his first--last year alone he got 4(4 shots) and has gotten atleast one every year since he was nine. Since he was 11 they have all been with .243.

I just caught the post. Way to go! The first deer I shot as a youngster was with a pre 64 .243 Featherweight Winchester. Great caliber for deer.
