I just bought a 20" 12GA Mossberg 590. The previous owner gave me a ghost ring sight set.
The rear sight is easy, just 4 screws. I would like to have the front sight installed but it looks like it needs to be silver soldered or glued on.
Does anyone know who does this service. I called around my area, no one is able or willing to do it, we are in Northern California. I would like to get the barrel ported as well. Porting is not really a must. Recoil does not really bother me. I just don't have a shotgun with porting. I thought it would be cool to have one.
Anyone have any advice? I thought of just gluing the front sight on my barrel with heady duty adhesive. Not sure how it will hold up to the heat and solvents. This will be my truck gun. I primarily shoot slugs.
