What does X7, X30 etc. when you see a drill bushing listed as X7 ID - 3/8 OD etc. ? X30 id - 1/2 od etc.

ID for #7 wire gage drill, #30, etc.

OK they stand for the size drill bits that have numbers. The number would give me the diameter, am I correct. Would need to look up a chart that shows drill size diameter related to that number.

Stop into a local tool supply shop that caters to machine shops tool romms and industry, they have Starrets brown and sharpes mitoyos and several others cards that gice fraction, number letter, metric decimil equivilants along with tap drills for standard number fractional and pipe
