View Full Version : Blackmon's dies

When I bought my swaging dies from Larry Blackmon he told me there was only one difference between the dies for the rock chucker conversion and his press. I think it was the point forming die ejector punch, but I just can't remember. Can anyone help me with that?

I sure hope the same dies will work in both presses. I have his press, and two calibers of dies. I sure wouldn't want to buy different dies.

They work in both presses, however he said something about there was one thing between the two and I can't remember. I am having communication problems with him lately, as well as oldtimers brain bubbles, so I thought I'd throw it out here.

Nice to see you are still around Lafaun.

Could we assume that the punch may be different in length or rather the ejection pin? That would be the only thing I could think of.

I think that the bottom of the punch has a different shape.

Bingo that's it, just what I thought. One punch base is just a rod and the other is longer with a slot in it. I believe, now where is the other punch??????

Got the dimensions, I may have to make a base. It just disappeared????.
