I am wondering if anyone here has good reports of using this boolit in a 9mm in lieu of buying 147gr boolits from a commercial producer?

And if you have used them, what did you find the weight to be when using WW?

I use them in .38 Colt gamer loads for ICORE. They drop from my 6 cavity at .359 diameter and 148 grains before lube. For 9mm, you would have to load them with the first lube groove out of the case.

I tried them. They shot well enough but you must be very careful about powder charges since so much of the boolit is inside the case. You also have to be careful you aren't swaging the base of the boolit too small by seating too deeply. Mine drops at 155 grains with range scrap.
In my opinion, there are much better heavy boolit molds for 9mm out there than this one. NOE has the 155 grain TC(ELCO) which is superb in the 9mm. If you use it as a hollow point, the weight is 147 grains. Here is a link to the discussion of this one. http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?278539-Elco-tc-hp
Lyman made a 358212 that works really well in the 9mm if you can find one.

^^^What he said. In general, I have not had wonderful results from 140+ grain boolits in the 9mm. The problem that I have run into is that the base of the boolit gets scrunched by the inner taper of the case and I get leading.
I have a 130-ish grain NOE hollowpoint that works very well. Two other boolits that have worked very well are Lyman's 356-242 122 grain and the Lee 356-120 tc. The latter boolit I have in a 6 cavity and it really cranks out the boolits once it is up to temperature.
