Has anyone seen the new Mossburg 464 lever action .30-.30 in person, so far I havent been able to find one in any local gunshops.
Just wondering what your impressions of it were.
Can it be cleaned from the breach like a Marlin 336.
will it be a good cast bullet shooter?

Saw one Saturday at the gunshow in Houston.Looked like a Win. 94 with a tang saftey.

I saw one and handled one at my favorite gunshop in Franklin, VT. I was NOT impressed. The action is "springy", probably due to that tang safety. This rifle is no substitute for a Winchester 94 or Marlin 336. My conclusion: I wouldn't even buy one used from a flea market!

I finally got to see one at my local gun shop, I wasn't impressed, kinda miss the half cock, Doesn't feel right when I cycled the action, can't put my finger on it. Shop didn't know what the twist rate was. Guess I'll save my money for something else.

I agree with all above, looked and handled like a very clunky winchester 94. Looked like a loser. To sell, it will have to be a lot cheaper than a Walmart-Marlin. Mossberg makes a good serviceable shotgun but I think they missed the mark with their new lever rifle.
