Ordered Mountain Mold for my 470 Nitro

Finally settled on my design for the 470 Nitro bullet mold and ordered it with Dan.

It'll be 500 grains, gas check, and 75% meplat. Should make a good thumper. At least now I'll be able to afford to shoot this thing a lot. Now if I can just round up some brass and dies by the time the mold arrives.

Sounds like a nice boolit. Is it a bore ride? I am contemplating 2 from Mountain Moulds. A 9.3mm 300gr and a .505 650 gr one.

Mold arrived today! That was fast, exactly two weeks from on-line order to mold in the mailbox. The mold looks fantastic too. May have to fire up the lead pot tomorrow.

Every place is still out of stock on brass and Redding dies though. ARRRRGH!
