Not too long ago, I picked up a Uberti 1873 Cattleman revolver in .45 colt. I've been shooting it all along with PC'ed bullets and it has performed admirably. The last time I shot, it started binding. Today, I finally got around to cleaning it. It was to say the least filthy! It took me nearly an hour to remove all of the built up powder residue. YUCK! And SHAME ON ME......but I guess the important point is this, NO LEAD BUILD-UP and NO traces of PC in the barrel. Ok, I was testing how far it would go before I absolutely had to clean it. I'm now officially impressed with powder coating. I think that from now on, the only boolits that won't be PC'ed will be bore riders for my rifles. And before you ask, around 1200 rounds.

Ya probably could got a couple hundred more with a liberal application of Tri-Flow.... lol. That's what I used to do on the ol 10-22 when ammo was available. Nice run though.
