I saw the title gun posted on another thread and thought it would be interesting, to me at least, to see what you folks think of that little knock off. I know, it is NOT a Browning but for the price, is it worth taking home? Just curious since I saw one go for well under $200 not too long ago. Obviously, junk is expensive regardless how cheap it is.

If you are talking about the clone for the Browning 22lr semi auto, take down model. BUY IT!! I bought one for my youngest son years ago when they were importing them into the U.S. I put a 4 power scope on it and that little rifle would group 5 shots into 1/2 inch at 50 yards. I should have bought several of them before they stopped the importing of them.

I bought one cheap a few years ago 'cause the feller said "ya can't hit a bull in the butt with this thing". I properly adjusted the barrel nut & tightened up the loose magazine tube & it was a tack driver. like so many things, I regret lettin' that one go.

I bought one a number of years ago, can't remember just when. As others have said a very accurate semi auto, handy little rifle and it's my understanding Browning parts even interchange.

Mine is dead on accurate and a joy to shoot. Works as well as my Browning.

While I don't have that particular NORINCO firearm, I have several others and have owned still more. It is my experience with these Chinese made guns, that while not as well finished as others, they are made of good materials, the fit is fine and the accuracy usually as good as the design permits.

We here are 'into' Norinco M1A's and as for their 1911's...........you can buy about four or five of them (with chrome-lined barrels) for the price of a Kimber and they (tested!) shoot just as well, with parts being interchangeable with genuine Colts. If I needed such, I'd buy that 'Browning' in a New York Minute.

Yes indeed! Here is my Norinco 1911A1. It has a Colt barrel, bushing and trigger, all drop in fit. I did change out the sights with a Brown front and a King Hardball rear. The pistol cost me $280.00 in 2005 in a Corpus Christi hock shop. I had all of the parts kicking around the shop except the sights.

I sold a number of them when they were being imported. They are excellent quality. The safety is bit easy to disengage but that can be fixed.Another excellent Norinco import was the TT Olympia .22 pistol.

One of my nieces got one as her first .22. She proceeded to patrol the farm on foot with it and her dog and took untold numbers of varmints like Rattlesnakes, mud turtles, raccoons, skunks and even a coyote. She is a suburban mother of four now and I'll bet she teaches them to shoot with it. Anyone who knows 1911s holds the Norinco "model of the 1911" in high regard. Best, Thomas.

I bought a Norinco .22 ATD from Sports Authority back in 1994 for $99. I still have it and still shoot it quite a bit. The only problem I ever had with it was when the part that prevent the feeding of a second cartridge from the magazine fell out and got lost. Numrich had the same part but for a Browning. After some fitting the rifle was as good as new.
BTW has anyone else ever noticed that the design of the bolt, recoil spring and striker and trigger group on the Browning .22 auto hears a striking resemblance to its much larger machine gun cousin also designed by John Browning.

Sarco has some parts for the ATD.
