Finally got around to shooting some ifle bullet's I'd powder coated. Accuracy was terrible but fired about 20 rds and it doesn't look like even one had been down the barrel! I don't have a new Lyman handbook and wanted to try some of the Lee loads anyway. With jacketed bullet's in 308 one of my favorite powder's is BLC/2 so gave it s try. Worked up to 33 grs and nothing work. got a few more favorite's in 308 so going to try them. Looked in my older handbooks and there's nothing in them that will get a 180 gr bullet to 2000 fps. In my 30-06 with the same bullet but tumble lubed, accuracy was alright for hunting, 1 1/2" at 100yds but, velocity was only about 1500 fps. Tumble lube bullet's didn't fire as clean as PC but weren't bad by any means.

Keep at it, Don. I've had pretty good luck with the lyman 311008 and the lee 150 p/c'd in 30-30, 300 svg and 30-06, but I also use lead boolit loads.

What increments are you working the load up in? Those barrel nodes can be skipped over if using .5 grain or greater increments, finding a barrel node takes some work.
If you are at 1.5" @ 100 yards, I'd say you are pretty close...don't give up too quick.

I assume 1:10, 180GC. Try 38-39 of H4895 or H335. LeverE works pretty good too. Never used BLC2. Probably need > 4% Sb heat treated to get there.

In 308 it seems the heavy-er bullets work better. BLC2 is fast for cast, I use it with 6X45s but it has a very narrow working range in my guns. For lower velocities several of the old manuals have red dot and it works. For higher speeds it is hard to beat 5744. Seems to have a wide working range and I have found it extremely accurate.

My dad shoots full house 4320 loads in his ar10 and can do a 1 1/2 group at 50
