So I got my new bullet mold in record time. It's a Magma iron mold for a Master Caster. I had it shipped directly from Magma to Hollow Point Mold Service and Eric got it almost immediately. This is the mold I'm going to start using the Hi-Tek coating system with. It's the old #68 design because...I needed a bevel base and Magma only has a few designs that they do in a no-groove bevel base in. The GSI bullet feeder really prefers BB bullets, plain base tend to leave little rings of lead around. I also wanted a HP and there is no alternative other than HPMS. Eric does great work.

So what we have left is a mouthful. 200gr SWC BB HP No-Groove. The mold and the work are top notch. I'm really anxious to see how it all turns out. I've never had great luck feeding lead through the GSI. The marketer claims that the Hi-Tek coating cures all that. I called them and they insisted it would be no problem. They even have it on their website.

I've always had good luck with the old H&G #68 in the past so it's deja vu all over again. I hope I continue that trend because I'm committed and am going to be making A LOT of these!

I had that mold for a long, long time and made a grundle of boolits from it.
I still have a bunch of them kicking around here.
I seriously doubt your gonna be disappointed once you figure out the cadence and temp's thing.
bored from sitting there pulling a handle maybe,,,,,,,, but disappointed with the boolits...no.
