Powders you like

Wanting to push 150 gr slugs at about 1200 to 1400 fps......I have tried 4759,4227 and herco....What other powders are good in this range....Yes it is a 308 win.... Charlie

Try 2400 or ACC#9 about the same burn rate. Also 13 Grains of Red dot. Very accurate in my 06.

17gn 2400 chrono'd 1550fps. Lee 170 flat, .308 Ruger am predator.

2400 is good. I like Red Dot too. This is a 190gr boolit.

That's an excellent group Waco! I have the Lee C309-170-F mold and have used it for 308, 30-30 and 30-06. I really like having additional powder choices although my current favorite flavor is Reloder 7 for the 308.

12-1400 I'd go straight down the list to the powders faster than herco.
maybe 800-x or steel could work but the faster powders would be enough oomph to get the job done rather efficiently.
green-dot would be one I'd look at here.
