Just got a Lee C309-150-F mold, which is a gas check boolit mold.
My question is are there any specifications that are mold brand specific for gas checks, or can I just buy and use any 30 cal gas check for this boolit?
Or does the gas check have to match the base dia. of the boolit?
Thanks for helping guide this newb. :drinks:

.30 cal gaschecks will fit 30cal boolits.

There seems to be an industry standard agreed.

I have moulds that cast .308" for the 7.5 Swiss and others that cast .315" for some .303's and all sizes in between. They all take the same .30 cal gas check.

If they don't then you got a mould problem.

Sometimes alloy, casting temperature and a slightly imperfect mould closure can conspire to make fitting a check hard.

Either remelt the boolit or place the ball end of a ball pien hammer on the check and give it a tap with a rubber mallet to enlarge its rim.
