I kinda like the Lee 45-230 TC BB. It doesn't say it's a bevel base but it sure looks like one...

Would you push one to or just a bit over a 1000 fps if it were hard cast to or about linotype hardness?

Yes, I have for my 45 ACP carbine, and it is bevel based. Does not have to be Linotype or hard cast, I use a 2/3/95 alloy (COWW+2% Tin), the same for all my big bore bullets. Fit is key.

Alloy that is too hard can often contribute to leading.

Have shot many of those, cast from coww, loaded to lower "ruger only" loads in a Rossi 45 revolving carbine. Never chrono'd but they are certainly stepping out at a good clip and surprisingly accurate. Strong medicine for hogs.
