Hello Folks,

I'm thinking of selling several of my T/C muzzle loaders to help pay for a new muzzle loader. What states prohibit shipping ML rifles?

Thanks, Tom

You don't need to worry about that, the buyer does. Federal law doesn't stop you from shipping black powder rifles that are exempt from 4473. It's up to the buyer to stay within the law in their own state.

IL is one but some states have more specific things like no pistols. If you look at a magazine that sells MLs (or sight)they usually have a guide that says they won't ship to these states.

"will ship to anywhere not restricted. know your state's laws" or "do not buy if restricted in your state"

You can shipped to IL. It must go to FFL if they want it they will just pay the FFLS FEES

Illinois from my understanding got rid of that registering a muzzleloader **** a couple years ago.

As already noted, it is the buyer's responsibility to make sure they know the laws. For example I live in CA where things are terrible but NOT concerning original or modern reproductions so they can go directly to the buyer.

This is wrong they are NOT prohibited
You can ship to IL it MUST go to through a FFL

Most air gun must also go through a FFL
