Does anyone know if the S242 H&G mold was also made for the Long Beach Police Department, or just the #242?
Are these molds rare and is this "shorter" version good for .45 auto bullseye shooting? Why did they make the shorter version anyhow, to save on lead o for shorter distances? Are these boolits as good as the good ol H&G 130. This one is up for sale on eBay for cheap and was wondering if I should bid on it:

242--.45 Auto. 185 grains in linotype. For Long beach California Police Department. Similar to # 130, except nose is beveled off to nose meplat, instead of being rounded over. Also available cut shorter, as #S242, at 160 grains in linotype.
