Went to one of the local shilouette matches today with the new 38-55 High wall. Am pleased with it as its second match today. Things went well 100 yd chickens I got 5 of them. THe 200 yd chickens from sitting and sticks I got 9, 300 yd pigs I hit 7 very solid but had 3 misses, The turkeys are sized down for 300 yds and I got 9 of them missing #10, he hung there laughing at me. Rams are sized down for 400 yds as this is the ranges full distance here and I got 7 here also finished the day with a 37. My load was Starline standard length brass, rem LRR primer, 44 grns olde Ensford 2 F, .060 Napa rubber fiber wad and 2 tracing paper wads with the Lyman 335 grn "postell" (?) bullet cast from 20-1 and pan lubed with spg. This load from my 30" barrel is doing 1225 fps. Load did good but I think its falling off at the longer ranges more so than the 365 grners. Was a good day and learned alot as I went along. The clay ground here was just damp and these bullets werent kicking up alot of dirt when a miss occured.

Sounds like a great day at the range with a great gun. Sounds like the ideal rifle for a reduced yardage match. Good shooting!
