First outing with this rifle and cast boolits. The mold is an NOE 30 Hunter 190gr plain base boolit. Sized to .311" and lubed with BAC then rolled in BLL I loaded them over 10.5 gr Redot. This is 5 shots @ 100 yards.

Waco: Hard to beat that ... and with cast, too! Lots of rifles won't do that with jacketed stuff, let alone cast. I have had a Rem. 788 in .223 since about 1982 or 1983. Really a fine rifle that is very accurate. Have killed some varmints 'way out there. You really did good with those cast boolits in the 788 in 308. What kind of glass do you have on your 788? Waco: With that much glass - especially if you had it set into the higher magnification - no wonder you got such a good group. However, that just reflects the kind of accuracy of which that rifle is capable and your ability to hold the crosshairs on the target. Good shooting! Big Boomer

Very impressive rifle and shooter! Can't imagine how well you'll do on your next range trip.
