Load 29.0 gr A2400, 2.5 gr Polyfill, Federal 155 Large Pistol Primer Magnum and Winchester cases.
Load must be fairly low on pressure as the loads show far less pressure than most book recommended full power loads with 500 gr jacketed data.
Velocity is 1245 fps chronoed.
A 550 gr cast GC with 28.0 gr A2400 and same components shoot very, very close to the accuracy of this load and chronoed at 1190 fps.

I point out to my wife that since I acquired the 416 Rigby and the 458 Win Mag we haven't had any elephant problems in our neighborhood.

Very nice and even though a big gun, the load looks like an ideal deer shooter.

I built a 458accRel and it shoots cast! So far I have used it on (1) 350 lbs pig (1) 8pt 160lbs many water bottles and about a ton of rocks made into gravel! Love to shoot it and will till I can't.
