I have worked on guns for 25 years or so, nothing magor re stocking, trigger work action work, ect. I have a pair of Uberti Hombres, that have that UGLY Black Powder coat finish, or at least i think it is powder coat? I love the guns, I worked them over and they are a dream to shoot, BUT THEY ARE UGLY:Fire:
I have just put toghter a old pair of 6 shooters that I bought in a box all apart(big mistake) parts were to hard to find, and to high priced!! I was going to have them plated, so I preped them, sanded but did not removed no marking polish to a bright finish. But I can't bring my self to do that to these new guns, is there anyone that has removed the ruffness of the matte finish, if so how did you do it, and how does it look?
The frame grips are brass and when you get them they are ruff, but I polished the brass looks good!

I am open for any and all advice, I would be very great full :drinks:

Thanks
Greg
p.s. sorry for the bad spelling
