Hi all,
Does anyone know of the existence of a tang mounted aperture sight for a CVA mountain rifle?

is this for the older usa made cva trad mountain rifle or the current cva accura mountain rifle? if the older, the lyman sml 57a real aperture should be able to be fitted.

no. you'll have to do as rfd stated & adapt a Lyman 57sml or some such to it. place it on the stock to where it looks/feels/works best, mark it, drill a couple screwholes, and lock'er down. then ya can figger out if it needs a bit of a shim on one end or the other and you'll be good to go. may also need to change out the front sight for best results.

the 57sml is fairly easy to work with, i've used on on three different trad ml's and in each case i just needed to shim it up a bit. it works Awesome with their 17a front globe aperture sight, too.

but you can also add an aperture to most patridge or buckhorn sights with a neodymium rare earth ring magnet, for about a buck ...

Thanks you guys. Looks like a bit of drilling. I'll give it a try.
