My oldest brother passed away this morning

My oldest brother who was 57 years old fell down his basement steps this morning and died of a head injury, I along with medics worked on him for about an hour but to no avail. I have 2 other brothers who are 5 and 6 years older than me and a sister who is 8 years older but all my life I have been so close to my oldest brother. My heart is broken and I along with my family need your prayers, I appreciate all of you more than you will ever know, Craig

Father, Craig, his brothers and sisters, and their families and friends have suffered a tremendous loss. Please give these people comfort and understanding as they deal with the loss of a brother, father, son, and friend. Help them to dwell on the good things that happened and not dwell on the physical death, not the spiritual death, of this man. Ditto all the above. Family is, in the final analysis, one of if not THE greatest gift God gives us in this life. Having good family, and then losing them, diminishes our earthly support group that is always around us. But God never takes something from us without giving something back, and it's a simple matter of faith that He'll provide for you what you need. I only had one brother and we always had trouble getting along. My cousin was kind of like my "big brother," and he recently died after a long bout with cancer. His funeral was a celebration of his life, and everyone who knew him had to laugh at the wonderful stories about him, which is exactly what he'd have wanted. When you lose one of the really good ones, it's good to see their funerals be a celebration of his life. I think they'd really appreciate it. Just honor him, and all he meant to you. He'll know, and see from Heaven, and he'll be very well pleased. He is not gone. He's just where he can't be touched like before, but he's still with you. The good ones never leave us, but watch over us intently. Peace be with you, I pray.

I am so sorry Craig! I pray the peace that surpasses all undestanding be palpable in the homes and lives of all surviving family members. Father allow your Holy Spirit to work through Craig to help him, not only to grieve, but to minister to his family as they pass through this difficult valley. I pray also Father you thwart any plans of the evil one to interfer in these circumstances. I ask Lord not because we deserve it, but because you love us and have told us to come to you and ask! We saw the report and found out my brother broke c-5 and 6 in his neck and had a head injury. We bury my brother this Friday at 2 o clock, Please continue praying for the family.
