Lyman 358318

Does the 358318 have the undersized nose/bore ride same as the 358315 designed for the 35 rem or is it a true.350 dia bore rider ? Also can someone tell me the nose length of the 318 from crimp groove forward .

I have a NOE copy of the 358318..
My alloy is 50/50 ww/pb, no tin added..
The band dia. is .361"
The nose dia. ahead of the top band is right at .349/.350" as you rotate the bullet..
That dia. only goes up the nose .15 above the top band leaving .500" unsupported, not good to my way of thinking..
The nose length is .77" from the crimp groove to the end of the nose..
This bullet has shot poorly in my Ruger #1 Whelen, but to be fair the Whelen has a large throat both in dia. and length..
How ever this bullet paper patched up for my 9.3X74R shots very well..
