I just received these in the post, $AU25 each , which is sort of cheap for Australia. Two different styles of followers which is interesting. I've never seen the rounded type before (not that that means much).

I will give them a workout at the range tomorrow.

I've got several Triple K 1911 magazines. They function well in most 1911's, but my current favorites are made by CheckMate for both .45 acp and 10mm.

Hope this helps.

Yep, sorry, Triple K.

Over here there's a big difference between triple K and KKK! With the recent Black lives matter movement mentioning KKK is not a good idea.

Yep, I'm well up on the antics of the guys in the pointy hoods. I must have had a minor brain f**t when I typed that.

It always cracks me up that they chose the name Triple K. They make some nice holsters.

1911's usually function in spite of triple K magazines, not because of them. For a number of reasons a rounded top smooth follower is not the greatest idea. Someone who really does not understand 1911 magazines came up with the features it has.

If they work, great, but if the gun has a tendency to three point jams and last round or second to the last round malfs when using them it likely ain't the gun.

In 1963, Jerry Krasne started Triple K Manufacturing Company. He named it after his three children, Kim, Kurt and Karen. After-market replacement magazines were the company’s main focus. Soon after, Jerry introduced the Triple K leather product line.

Hope this helps.

Oh ! Triple K.... I saw KKK and thought ......never mind , I'm probably going to say something politically incorrect and we don't want that. I am white and from Louisiana...the land of David Duke.

Kim, Kurt and Karen, that's nice to know. At worst they will do as practice mags.

For a good mag at a fair price i would buy Mec-Gar one of the best of aftermarket mags.

I like MecGar, I have been using them in my 1911 Series 80 38Super, no hiccups at all. I have five Colt mags and two Remington mags coming, so I'm good to go for competition. I will keep my eyes open for Colt or MecGar mags and grab a couple if they come up cheap. Thank for the input.

Well, they worked, vert stiff to insert and three didn't eject from the mag well without assistance. The only ammo I had was Winchester Ranger Law Enforcement loads which send the cases into orbit. I was exhausted and knocked the drill on the head after one seven round load each. Back to the drawing board next Monday.

They may go better with the 5 round Wild Bunch loads.

I have one stainless 1911 magazine with the rounded top follower and my pistol invariable jams on the last round, despite having a very strong slide spring. They will do it. It will embarrass you every time.
