Other than replacing the whole assembly with a Timney or such is there a reasonably simple way to improve the trigger on a Remington 788? I have 3 and they are consistant but HEAVY. Thanks Folks

There was an article in the 70's that I saved that gave the hole drilling and screw sizes to turn it into a fully adjustable trigger,

I did mine back then and it was adjustable (Safe!) from 12 oz to 4 lbs. I also stoned the sear and trigger points flat and smooth with a hard Arkansas stone.

I'll get you an electronic version as soon as I can.

Right Now it's 4 ***200+k images We will try and make it a PDF file and load it up to our home page.

This might take a day or 2 so Please be patient.

Reloader6 you have 3 emails, don't know if your isp will allow files that big, but we tried to send them.

I think this picture is from that 70's article, should help while twotrees is getting it all set up.
I'd sure like to see the rest of the article and pictures, this one is all I have. I used this info on my 788 trigger, and it now breaks at 2 1/4 lb, with no discernible creep.
