Anybody got a how to site or any info on smoothing a CZ52 trigger? Also
what about any good sights, my old eyes just will not see whats there!
Thanks for any info. Aaron

There was/is a site, with some apparently good info. IIRC the gist of the deal was
that you would put a short tube (bushing) around one of the pins in the
trigger assy and the additional diameter would take up a lot of the excessive
sear engagement. Didn't look hard to do, have not done the wife's 52 yet,
it has an OK trigger but is accurate enough to deserve a great trigger which
is my intent, when I get enough "round-too-itts" saved up.

The wall thickness of the bushing (basically OD, since you keep the ID the same
to fit the pin) was the variable to control the sear engagement. Didn't look
easy to adjust, but you could at least take out most of the takeup with some
trial and error.

I no longer have the link.

A lot of articles and 'how to do's' on many different surplus guns.

For an inexpensive solution to old eyes, go to Walmart in the reading glasses section. Extend your arm and hold your thumb up. Find a pair of glasses that allows you to see all the grooves in your thumb nail. Go weaker, rather than stronger so you can still make out the target.

I used the Harrington Firing Pin kit. The trigger is smooth, very smooth at about 3-4 lbs.

As for the Wally World reading glasses, what if you already have bi-focals ?

There was a fella at the range one day. He offered to let me use his cheater. It was a +1 diopter shield that rested between your eyes and glasses. WOW !

I've never been able to locate one of these... drats!

If you need reading glasses, don't use bifocals or readers. Get the full size frames at whatever magnification you need. As a matter of fact get two pair, one for handgun shooting, and one for reading your computer. Your neck will thank you. Yes, they blur everything else, but the sights stand out clearly. For pity sake, don't use them when climbing or descending stairs. The last pair I bought came from Staples.
