So as a potential first foray into the vintage/antique reloading equipment world I'm bidding on a really nice Hollywood Senior.

Will do. If I win it I'd probably set it up as a dedicated resizing and decapping press for 300AAC. I store my brass cleaned, sized and deprimed. When ready to load I pull out a box and run it through on my Lee turret press. I also have a Lee single stage I could then setup as a dedicated sizing and depriming press for .223. I only reload for .223, 300AAC supersonic and 9mm handgun which I can run through from start to finish on the turret. I cast for 9mm and 300AAC supersonic.

Observation: It's probably aluminum.

Thanks for that input Kevin! Seller claims a weight of 15lbs 2oz. They suggest they believe it is aluminum. It's up over $200 already so I'm going to let it go.

Anytime you see an old press like this w/ fresh paint, it is hiding aluminum. Aluminum presses flake-off their paint, while cast iron does not normally do so.

The aluminum Super Turret on the right is typical.

The one piece slide is another give away. Cast steel presses use a two piece guide as the main frame is machined in one piece, aluminum is not.

Still, I saw that and took a liking to how the press was stored, seller has two presses for sale, both have eye bolts to hang them from the ceiling. I am running out of storage room and the only open space left is the ceiling.
