I'm not sure if this would belong in this forum or not. If not, I do apologize, and the moderators can move it if they so choose.

I have a question about the new AA hulls. I read somewhere that the new design keeps the wad from being seated as deeply as it used to be with the older style hulls. if this is true, how is this rectified, or is it a non-issue?

The new HS hulls Winchester is now producing to replace the older style compression formed hulls 12 , 20 28 gau and 410 , take all new load data [smilie=b: :groner:

And yes in some cases , with low bulk powders in the 12 gau hull
The old wads will not seat deep enough and you will have to go to the new wads designed for the HS hulls

WARNING , if your wad is not in contact with the powder , you can ring a chamber or ruin a gun with 1 shot !!!!

The new hulls do load slicker and have a longer service life ( I get 15 - 20 loadings with the new 28 gau HS hulls , instead of the 10 - 12 for the old ones )

But all the tryed and tested loads need to be re tested

As the new hulls produce different pressures
