Hornady 223 brass ???

Didn't know until just a few days ago, was sorting out 223 brass, have a fair amount of Hornady, coming to find out their is 3 different variations, the normal, the normal looking but have crimped primers, 3rd type looks like laser engraved head (very light) stamps also have crimped primers, think most came from LEO's shooting. What can the pro's relate to us.

Probably from Hornady TAP ammo. Many law enforcement agencies use it in their .223 rifles. We used it in ours, but used Federal for everything else.
