Ah yes! The hardest part for budding Christians is to accept this, and divest themselves of their "favorite sins!" Many of us carry our own favorites for years and years, before accepting the simple God's Truth that they're bad for us, and we finally lay them down. Christianity is difficult because it's a constant act and process of continuing refinement, for as long as we live. Each day, it challenges our natural proclivities and wants, and sits there directly facing us, bidding us to do what we know good and well we ought to do, rather than following what WE want. Revenge is a popular temptation today. So is sex, drugs and whatever causes us to be "happy" for a little while, even if we know it's not good for us long term.

Great post, RL. Being one of the hardest things we have to comply with, it's important that we face this one more often. It helps us keep our perspective a bit better.
