Got my new Mauser a couple of weeks ago. Bought it so I could load up all this empty brass I keep finding (makes sense right?)
Well after a couple of range trips it is dialled in pretty good with the Lee 312-155 pushed by 3031. I have some loaded with the Lee 312-185 waiting to be tried. I will post up some pictures soon.
Anyone one else shooting boolits out of one of these?

Not an '06, but my Israeli k98 in 308 shoots that boolit over red dot pretty well. I've never set down and got serious with it, just busting stationary clays at various yardages, and pop cans will explode with a good solid hit. It's as much fun as my 357 Marlin! Trouble is, I don't have time to shoot much any more.

please keep it well, there won't be anymore from where it came. The last carbines made in brazil were turned into junk bolt shotguns 28ga and 410. And the rifles were sold worldwide. Now Imbel only makes a .308 monstrosity not many want even here where it's made. I've seen few of the 30-06 in person which here are called as frenchy as it sounds " mosquetao" (musketoon). The pieces I saw were in the military and I think they still keep some for celebrarion purposes.

It kills me to see the history of my country being destroyed by its own people... And Btw I love Mausers! Nice shooting.

I like the way you think regarding having the '06 brass before you get the rifle. After I got out of the navy in '67 a lot of the vets at my range just shot the brass and were kind enough to let me have it. I eventually ended up with two 5 gallon buckets of nice brass. While in the navy bought a nice winnie model of 1917 enfield and that brass went a long way to make ends meet in the shooting I did. Sent in a check and had the rifle sent to my folks place. Frank
