This is probably not the best place for it, but why should we not in the Chapel here acknowledge that the stage has long been set for something like this, with our country's leadership having become increasingly accomodating and abiding of this kind of thing. Prayers up for the families and friends and associates of all those, and the civilian who was hit as well. Senselessness is always ugly, but it's increasingly common. We need to pray for our nation as well, generally.

mrsbuckwheatpaul and I spent 29+ years with the D.P.D. We have been gone long enough to not know any of the officers. I can assure that our heart is sad with all the bad things happening to L.E. around this great country.

Father, Please watch over our law enforcement officers and deputies. They are the last line between anarchy and a safe environment. Please guide our deputies and officers in such a way that they always do the right thing toward the public they serve and please keep them from the brutal tactics that seem to be the norm of today. While blacks want to insist that black life matters please help them to realize that all lives matter and change the hearts of those that would do harm to our men and women that daily go about helping us be safe in our homes, work, and travel. AMEN
