My 527 dates back to when MRI in MN was the importer, and shoots well with the limited selection of .223 dia J's available loaded over LilGun. I acquired 200 225107 GC/sized .225 & lubed "boolits" for evaluation before I spring for a mold. Then I did some exploration with Red Dot & 2400 with small rifle primers. The Red Dot showed more promise than the 2400 initially, and was resampled with small pistol primers. Results were mediocre compared to the J Sierras, with no clear direction for further exploration emerging.
I still have some of the 225107s left and have seen a couple of members referencing loads in the 7 grain range for LilGun and 5 grains for 800X, but find no published info for either.
I am not focused so much on speed as good, consistent accuracy for small game hunting and informal target shooting. I have a WTB add posted to see if anyone has some 225107 PB for sale to try them to duplicate 22 rimfire loads, but have gotten no response to date.
So if you have had success with the 225107 in a similar rifle and care to share the info, I would be grateful. Also still looking for some 225107 PBs to explore. Thanks to all responders in advance!
