A friend has a matched pair of colt derringers and wondered regarding the date of manufacture and relative value. He is not interested in selling them. They were owned by his late brother and are valuable to him for that reason. The receivers appear to be nickel plated and the barrels are blued. Anyone know anything about these consecutively numbered Colt derringers? They are unfired and in a nice presentation case. Pardon my inability to post pics properly. I will attempt to post pics later. This attempt did not succeed. Big Boomer

These Derringers are 22 cal short.
Markings: COLT'S P.F.A. MFG. CO. INC
HTFD.. CT.. U.S.A.
No Patent numbers

Serial Numbers: 366XX D & 366XX

Back in the early 80's when I was a dealer, that his 'n her set wholesaled for around $100 I believe. Colt pushed them heavily for quite some time.
