I've recently gotten in to shooting big bore riles, 45/70, 45/100 and even 450 Nitro Express. It seems that Buffalo Arms has a huge line of molds in the larger calibers...I also tend to like iron molds, which is all they seem to have. These molds are quite expensive when compared to most others...

Anyone have experience with Buffalo Arms molds?

The sell moulds made by others, and they sell moulds they make, themselves.
Their own moulds have a good reputation, and are less expensive than most 'custom moulds'.

I have 5 or 6 Buffalo Arms molds: quality made - easy cast and perfect bullets

The couple I have seen appear to be Saeco , my favorite maker of iron moulds. But I've never had a H&G or other vintage mould.

Have a BACO Mould for my 45/70. It is the Paper Patch Money Bullet. Casts very nice, very easy to use. Don't know if it is quite the work of art that my Steve Brookes Creedmore mould is, but the BACO mould is easily worth what I paid.

What Southern Son and John Boy said. My Baco .444 diameter 560 grain paper patch from my C. Sharps 45 2 7/8 will put five into a ragged hole 100 yards no problem.

I have 1 Baco ( Buffalo Arms company) mould it casts a 430 grn Paper patched money style bullet for my 40-65 CPA rifle. casts a very good bullet round and true size is right. I also Have a Steve Brooks adjustable Paper Patched mould .442 dia that casts great. Several various Old West Moulds in 38 cal 365 grn grease groove Nasa style, 40 cal 400 grn nasa style and a 45 cal shilouette 550 grn. The Old west moulds are brass moulds and very reasonanly priced. My last 2 cavity was $125.00 plus shipping. One thing I usually recomend if you have the time and dont want to buy alot of moulds is to put a want ad on swap[ping and selling for test batches of bullets. 50 bullets of a known alloy and mould can tell you alot about how they will perform and if your rifle likes them. I see yopur from South west Ohio Im from North west Ohio we might could get together and you could run some from my moulds here. In 45 cal I have most of the bigger ones 405 grn up to 550 grns The lyman 457125 round nose. The lyman 535 grn postell ( this mould is converted to nose pour), 500 grn rcbs BPR, a lyman 480 gr smitzer mould. Pm me
