Lyman top punch Number request

I am currently looking for a Lyman top punch for mold 358093 / 35893 pending age of the mold, this is the pointed SWC similar to the 429303.

Lyman does not currently make this top punch and I have no idea what number it might be so if someone knows or better yet has a spare, I would either buy it or take the number and search E bay for it.

Rather than tie up this thread please PM me either a number or a price.

429303 takes top punch 303. My old Lyman cast bullet handbook doesn't list the other two molds.

Lyman makes it easy. The first three numbers is the diameter....358
The last three numbers is the top punch...093

If a number is only 5 digits (old numbering system) , the first three stay the same, add a 0 and the other two digits to make a 6 digit number. New numbering system.

Now the quest for the correct top punch begins....hint , any boolit with a flat point, SWC , WC, RF , FP (most 30-30 moulds are FP ) can be seated with a flat seating punch. Fill a RN , or whatever you have, with J B Weld epoxy, sand flat after it cures and seat any boolit with a flat spot on it. Use epoxy to custom fit those that don't quite fit....which are the majority.

Actually, the last three numbers are the cherry number. Not every cherry has a special top punch because many bullets have similar nose profiles. Sometimes old nose punches are discontinued when new nose punches that are more versatile are introduced.

I called lyman about this a few years ago. They were willing to try to make one. Or really modify a current one. I believe what we agreed to was to center drill a 311 top punch and JB weld the nose profile.
